A NIST-sponsored, one and one-half day, in-person workshop bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from outside the engineering/code development world with knowledge and interest in functional recovery concepts.
In a series of breakout exercises, workshop participants will undertake a comprehensive examination of past and current efforts to develop a functional recovery goal matrix, which identifies categories of important community functions along with their target recovery times following a damaging natural hazard event. Participants will be asked to recommend functional categories and recovery times comprising the goal matrix, key considerations for establishing the matrix, and key stakeholders and additional information needed to implement functional recovery goals for new and existing structures and lifelines.
Registration for this workshop closes on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 5:00pm EDT.
