Liverpool have had a few slip ups at the London Stadium in recent years — they’ve only won once in their last four trips here — and I think it’s a big test of their defensive credentials to show some of the early away form they had under Slot.
They’re still unbeaten in 13 away games (including trips to San Siro, Tottenham, Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester United), but have conceded 13 times and only kept one clean sheet in their last seven away trips, after an almost water-tight defence of four clean sheets and two goals conceded in their first six away trips of the season.
Perhaps that was an unrealistic level of performance to maintain, but title-winning sides tend to be the best defensively. With trips to Tottenham (again), Brentford (the best home team in the league) and (currently) second-place Nottingham Forest to come, Liverpool need to regain their solidity.
