We missed this video when it was first published on YouTube in 2021 – this video was made as a promotion for Fast and Furious 9, aka F9, which was released in 2021 – but still, when was it released? It’s fun to watch too. This video features Bullitt (1968), The French Connection (1971), Vanishing Point (1971), Ronin (1998), Drive (2011), Black Panther (2018), Extraction (2020), and the iconic Ford vs. Ferrari It features a car chase scene. (2019) + some others. Insider’s “How the car chase scene has evolved over 100 years” begins with the iconic Buster Keaton chase in 1924’s Sherlock Jr. (followed by his classic The General). This isn’t the most detailed or extensive film history video essay, but you’ll be excited to see more of these films. And I’m glad you mention “The Biscuit” which is pretty much an industry standard used in most sets today.
