McMichael (18 goals in 51 games) has tied his single-season career high in goals in 29 fewer games (18 in 80 last season) and ended his 11-game goal-scoring drought. Dubois extended his point streak to three games (2-1-3) and hit the 30-assist mark for the fifth time in his NHL career. Dubois (11-30-41 in 51) surpassed his point total from last season with the Los Angeles Kings (16-24-40 in 82).

The goal was Ovechkin’s 876th career NHL goal, 19 shy of passing Wayne Gretzky’s record. Protas extended his career-long point streak to six games (3-4-7). With a goal and an assist, McMichael has recorded his ninth multi-point performance of the season.
