Highlights:
Authorizes and imposes sanctions against foreign persons (individuals and entities) who assist the International Criminal Court (ICC) in investigating, arresting, detaining, or prosecuting certain individuals, including: (Articles 2 through 5) Article).
A U.S. person, U.S. entity, or person located in the U.S., unless the U.S. is a party to the ICC Rome Statute and has duly consented to ICC jurisdiction. and
Foreign nationals or legal residents of U.S. allies that are not parties to the Rome Statute or have consented to ICC jurisdiction.
If the ICC attempts to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute a protected person, the President may issue visa and property arrests against foreign nationals and foreign nationals who engage in or materially assist in such activity. It stipulates that sanctions must be imposed. A person owned, managed, or represented by the foreign national (Article 2-5)
Requires the President to extend visa blocking sanctions to the immediate family members of those subject to sanctions (Article 2-5).
Cancels all funds appropriated to the ICC and prohibits further use of funds appropriated to the ICC after passage and approval by the President (Article 2-5).
