The United States ranks first in the Stanford HAI World AI Rankings
A new ranking tool from the Stanford Human-Centered AI Institute (HAI) AI Index ranks the United States as the No. 1 global AI leader. The Global AI Vibrancy Tool measures the strength of a country’s AI ecosystem based on eight categories: Responsible AI. Economy; Education; Diversity; Policy and Governance. public opinion; and infrastructure. Each category is weighted by a panel of experts to determine an overall liveliness score.
The tool collects data based on 42 publicly available AI-specific metrics, including AI journal publications, total AI private investment, passed AI bills, and underlying model datasets, HAI explained in a news release. did. The tool is “designed to provide policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and the public with actionable, data-driven insights on national AI developments.”
