It’s 1994 and Pico is a 20-year-old Italian studying in Copenhagen where she is best friends with the wealthy Leo who knows everyone who is anyone. Through him she acquires a part-time job at a high-end auction house owned by the mysterious Antonio.
When Antonio goes missing for several months Pico decides to track him down. Her investigation is aided by Antonio’s pals – the much-feared Catania and an influential cardinal. Why two powerful and well-connected organisations – the Vatican and the Mob – need a girl with no street smarts to track down their mutual friend is never explained.
