It’s great to see this big play get such a robust outing at the Gaiety
This is a superb production of a great play that tackles the issue of “the Disappeared” in Northern Ireland, the people secretly abducted and murdered by the IRA whose names were blackened and whose families were intimidated into silence.
Co Armagh man Seamus Carney disappears, leaving his wife Caitlin and young son Oisín in limbo. Is she widowed or deserted? She is told he has been seen on the ferry going to Wales. Word is spread that he was an informer.
