The Athletic is broadcasting live coverage of the AFC divisional round playoff game between the Texans and the Chiefs.
Emotions were high from the start for the Houston Texans against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round. After the Chiefs’ opener on Saturday, Texans cornerback Kris Boyd was caught on broadcast cameras shoving special teams coordinator Frank Ross.
After Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s 32-yard field goal, Boyd was shown shoving Ross as the two yelled at each other. Boyd was cautioned for unsportsmanlike conduct at the beginning of the action when he removed his helmet during the game’s opening kickoff.
The penalty brought the Chiefs to Houston’s 13-yard line.
Boyd is in his second season with the Texans and has primarily contributed on special teams this year.
