On Sunday, Stuttgart defeated Heidenheim 3-1 with Nick Waltemaade scoring for the third game in a row.
The striker was satisfied with his team’s performance after the victory moved Stuttgart to sixth place in the table.
“It was a good game for us. We knew it was going to be a tough, intense, intense battle, but we deserved to win. We also won with three goals, giving us more chances to score.” Waltemade was pleased. He will play up front alongside Elmedin Demirovic.
“Offensively, we are working very well with Demi. We create very good chances together. But we are doing well overall. The players who have been on the pitch from the beginning, the players who have come on as substitutes, The players who do that. That’s what makes us special. And strength from the bench is important.
“Goals are always nice and I’m happy to score a penalty in the last minute of the game. It’s a great feeling.”
Voltemade and Stuttgart will play their last match of 2024 at home against St. Pauli on Saturday.
