With just over a week left with the trade deadline, the drama has intensified with reports that the Sacramento Kings were starting to entertain offers for star guard De’Aaron Fox.
As always, social media exploded with reactions, and here are some of the immediate ones.
Fox is under contract for 2 seasons:
$34.8M and $37.1M
He is eligible this summer to sign a 4/$229M extension.
He can sign the same extension 6 months after he was traded.
There’s a $77M difference if Fox played out the 2025-26 season and signed with a team that has cap… https://t.co/4PRWEMyKQI

If I’m De’Aaron Fox I’m doing anything I can to get to San Antonio and become the PG for Wemby for the next decade https://t.co/NBX9SggCaO

The Kings can’t afford to get the De’Aaron Fox trade wrong. At all.
Stars are hard to come by in Sacramento to put it lightly. You get this wrong, you’re right back to a long playoff drought.

If the Kings legit are serious on trading De’Aaron Fox, I hope the front office and the ownership group is ready for the anger of fans in Sacramento

This franchise will never acquire as good of a player as De’Aaron Fox through trade or free agency. If you’re trading him, you need to be tearing it down for good.

The Kings not wanting to extend De’Aaron Fox is a clear sign they want to rebuild
I feel sorry for Kings fans. The team has been so bad for so long and when they are finally competitive again ownership wants to tear it down
It sucks

They should’ve done this after the 6 game losing streak and commit to a tank. If Fox goes, everybody should go. How do you start winning and then decide to trade the best player more than mid-way through your season? This team is nothing without De’Aaron Fox. Unserious franchise

Jimmy Butler bout to go on IG Live and slander Pat Riley to get the attention back to him after the De’Aaron Fox news.

Remember, preferred destinations aren’t end all, be all.
Regardless of if the Kings should trade De’Aaron Fox or not, they’re going to make the best deal for THEM, not Fox/Klutch.

If the Kings are going to trade De’Aaron Fox, now is the right move as opposed to this summer.

Why would De’Aaron Fox want out of Sacramento NOW of all times??
11-4 with a new head coach and the 2nd best record IN THE LEAGUE in 2025…
Just when things were starting to turn around… this team is cursed💔💔💔
