COP29| During COP29, the Minister of Energy and Transport, Hon. JoBeth Coleby-Davies, participated in the High-Level Roundtable on Energy: Advancing Action to Mitigate Climate Change.

We are seeing and feeling firsthand the effects of rising sea levels and the ferocity of more powerful hurricanes and tropical cyclones.
Efforts to adapt and expand renewable energy have become even more urgent given our nation’s vulnerability to rising sea levels and extreme weather events such as hurricanes and tropical storms.
Speaking on behalf of Small Island Developing States, Minister Coleby-Davies said: “We need a deeper understanding that climate change affects us all, which is why SIDS is working to share new technologies, raise finance and provide the best We need greater support in terms of collaboration on practices.” ”
