Rangers fans are reacting after Jack Butland made a huge mistake in the 2-1 defeat to Man United at Old Trafford when he returned to replace Liam Kelly.
Bruno Fernandes scored the winning goal in the final minute of the game for the Red Devils, securing the victory.
However, Butland, who was the first Rangers to concede, was heavily criticized as his weak punch from a corner led to an embarrassing own goal.
Cyriel Dessars gave supporters a glimmer of hope when he capitalized on a Harry Maguire mistake late in the game to score. However, Fernandes’ goal in added time secured the three points.
The defeat leaves Rangers in 13th place in the Europa League standings, outside of the automatic qualification spots, while Manchester United sit comfortably in 4th place.

During his absence, he also missed Rangers’ last five games in all competitions, including the 5-0 Scottish Cup win over Fraserburgh on January 19.
Kelly was a substitute during that period and performed admirably, leading many fans to believe he was worthy of retaining his position. Nevertheless, Butland returned to the lineup after sharing an update on his recovery and return to training.

Clement has relied heavily on Butland this season, with the Englishman starting all 29 games in all competitions and conceding 27 goals while keeping 13 clean sheets.
But fans turned their anger on the goalkeeper after United conceded the lead in the 52nd minute with a weak punch from a corner.
Supporters have questioned why manager Clement chose to leave Kelly out, who had proven himself in Butland’s absence. One fan called the mistake “unbelievable,” saying, “I don’t know why he let Kelly go.”
Many are now calling on the club to part ways with Butland, with one supporter saying: “He’s too picky” and suggesting the club should sell him to avoid further costly mistakes. are.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but Butland is actually not as good as many people think.
If he makes a half-hearted offer, I’ll bite your hand off.
Kelly is more than capable of taking over the sticks until a better long-term replacement is found.

I said it before I said it again.
If there is a serious offer for Butland, he should take it in the summer.
He’s only marginally better than Kelly, but his wages will be significantly higher.

If Butland was offered, you let him go, but I don’t understand why he would leave Kerry out for weeks for this Butland and stagger back into the team and do something unbelievable.

It’s no surprise Butland messes it up, it’s weak management from Clement Kelly should never have been taken down.

Surely Clement sees Kelly playing the better keeper this season? We all noticed Jack Butland’s stupid mistakes this season!!!

All eyes are on Clement, but how many goals could have been prevented this year with a better goalkeeper? It doesn’t solve all of our problems, but Butland has been a doubt for some time.

I’ve always heard from people here that if someone comes in to replace Butland in the summer, I hope they sell him as much as Kelly did, but we compare him to Cross and Gollum when he first joined. He’s… a terrible goalkeeper.
