Born Innocent makes the case for Red Kross as the seminal band of the American West Coast of the past half century. A glowing tribute to one of the most unique and influential American rock bands of the past 40 years, the band founded by “Freak Brothers” Jeff and Steve McDonald. A colorful and upbeat clusterfuck of garage punk, glam, power pop, metal, candor, bravado and wild adventure. It’s a genre in itself, with members of Sonic Youth, L7, Black Flag, the Melvins, and Sebadoh professing their undying love. Born Innocents: The Red Cross Story is directed by producer/filmmaker Andrew Reich, his first feature film after previously writing and producing numerous other television docs and projects. I will.
