Doha, January 05 (QNA) – In collaboration with Qatar University Career Development Students Association and Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), the Ministry of Labor has launched the second edition of the Career Camp for university students.
This initiative aims to empower graduates and equip them with the skills they need to excel in the labor market.
In this regard, Shaikha Abdulrahman Al Badi, Assistant Undersecretary for National Human Resources Affairs in the Private Sector at the Ministry of Labor, said that the second career camp will prepare and qualify the national workforce for the private sector labor market. He emphasized that it is part of a broader effort. .
Mr. Al Badi also believes in building a strong nation in the private sector that can drive significant progress towards more productive and dynamic labor markets across different economic sectors, while contributing positively to the nation’s sustainable development goals. Mohamed Al Hafiz, Chairman of Qatar University Career Development Students Association, explained that the number of participants has increased to 60 students from different universities. He also noted that the field visit had been expanded and the entire third day of the exercise was devoted to a visit to Qatar Science and Technology Park. He said the visit aimed to raise awareness of global and regional trends in entrepreneurship and innovation. Additionally, the quality of training content and trainers has improved significantly.
Commenting on the collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, QCDC Acting Director Saad Abdullah Al Khalji said: “We value our partnership in supporting ambitious young people through career camps. This is in line with Qatar Career Development Center’s mission to develop These are university students who are equipped with the tools and skills necessary to succeed in the labor market and contribute to the future of their country. ” The program includes a variety of workshops, activities and on-site visits to work environments.
