Doha, December 26 (QNA) – Registration for the 16th Qatar International Falcon and Hunting Festival (Marmi 2025) closed today. Under the patronage of Sheikh Joan bin Hamad Al Thani, the festival will be held from January 1 to February 1, 2025 in the Marmi district of Sea Line.
The last day of registration was held at the Qatar Al Gannas Association headquarters in Katara Cultural Village, and was attended by a large number of falconers from Qatar and GCC countries.
Muteb Al Qahtani, Chairman of the Marmi Festival, said in a statement that the number of participants for each competition will be determined individually, after which a lottery will be held and the results will be published and shared with the participants. . He also said the dates for the Young Falconer Championship will be announced at a later date, but registration will take place on-site.
Al Qahtani revealed that generous prizes were allocated to the winners of the festival with the support of the Social and Sports Contribution Fund (DAAM). The winner of the Al-Muzayen contest in the “Al-Hor Ashqar” category will receive QR700,000, the second place winner will receive QR500,000 and the third place winner will receive QR300,000.
In the “Al-Hor Adham and Black” category, the first place winner will receive QR400,000, the second place winner will receive QR300,000 and the third place winner will receive QR200,000.
In the Hadad Al Tahadi contest, the qualifiers will receive a cash prize of QR100,000, the finalist will receive two Lexus cars, and the final winner will receive a cash prize of QR100,000.
The winner of the Al-Talaa contest will receive QR 300,000, the second place winner will receive QR 200,000 and the third place winner will receive QR 100,000. The local Al Daw competition will run over seven rounds, with the first place winner receiving QR200,000, the second place winner receiving QR100,000 and the third place winner receiving QR50,000.
In the Al Daw International Competition, the first place winner will receive QR100,000, the second place winner will receive QR70,000 and the third place winner will receive QR50,000.
The winner of the elite race will receive QR 300,000, the second place winner will receive QR 200,000 and the third place winner will receive QR 100,000.
The Saluki Racing competition will award QR 100,000 to the winner of each category, QR 70,000 to the second place winner and QR 50,000 to the third place winner. Regarding the Young Falconer Championship, the 1st place winner will receive 25,000QR, the 2nd place winner will receive 20,000QR, the 3rd place winner will receive 15,000QR, the 4th place winner will receive 10,000QR, and the 5th place winner will receive QR10,000. will be given QR25,000. – place winner wins QR 8,000.
