Qatar Scouts & Guides Association participates in scouting event in Hong Kong
Hong Kong, December 24 (QNA) – 14 Qatari scouts and three scouters are introducing Qatari culture to the world at a scouting event in Hong Kong.
Participants from the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association are working with 600 scouts from 14 countries under the theme “We are the future” at the event, which runs until December 27.
Head of the delegation, Ahmed Khamis Al Yousef, said it was an opportunity to exchange cultures and build bonds with Scouts from all over the world.
Al Yousef added that the Qatari delegation is organizing accompanying exhibitions to showcase Qatar’s culture, civilization, achievements and tourism potential to the world.
Providing a unique platform for further cooperation and partnership between national scout associations, the event features a variety of activities mainly centered around a forum to deliberate on issues related to society, the environment, democracy and sporting competitions. That’s what I mean.
A cultural festival will also be held where Scouts will introduce their country to the world through photography, cooking, folk art and other cultural activities.
This event is aimed at ages 14-17. (QNA)
