Doha, January 07 (QNA) – Cultural Village Foundation – Katara today officially launched the 5th Katara International Exhibition for Kahraman. This year’s exhibition will be held in Hall 12 and will feature 77 booths from 14 countries around the world.
The Katara International Exhibition for Kahraman is the largest exhibition of its kind in Qatar and the region, bringing together a select group of exhibitors from around the world. The exhibition, which runs until January 10, features a diverse collection of luxurious amber products and unique artefacts.
Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara Company, expressed his pleasure at the opening of the 5th exhibition, stating that this exhibition will contribute to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage and the development of traditional amber crafts. He emphasized that this highlights the efforts of Katara. He said the exhibition will serve as a global platform to unite tradition and creativity, highlighting the cultural and economic importance of amber for both Qatar and participating countries. The exhibition will also showcase a rare collection of amber beads, stones and handmade designs, offering visitors a wide range of choices to suit their tastes and preferences.
Khalid Al Said, Director of Culture and Events at Katara, praised the features of this year’s exhibition and the variety of activities associated with it, including participants from Gulf, Arab and international countries. He also highlighted the participation of the Amber Testing Institute and the presence of artists who will create works inspired by the exhibition. Katara Publishing also displays the latest specialized books on amber.
Sameer Ramo, supervisor of the “Amber House – Berlin, Germany” booth, expressed his satisfaction at participating for the fifth time and praised the professional organization of the event. He emphasized that the exhibition provides an excellent platform to introduce new and innovative amber products to Middle Eastern audiences. He also pointed out that exhibitions allow companies to network with new customers and develop new markets. This booth features German amber products, including beads, jewelry, and heritage-inspired collectibles.
Abdullah Al Khalifi, head of Qatar’s “Nakwa Amber” booth, expressed his excitement for the exhibition, noting that it was his third time participating. He emphasized that the event is the largest and most prestigious amber exhibition in Qatar and abroad, providing a valuable opportunity for amber traders and enthusiasts to exchange knowledge and skills.
The Kahraman International Exhibition has a wide range of booths displaying amber beads, jewelry, antiques, and products from the International Amber Testing Institute. The exhibition is open daily from 12pm to 10pm, with extended hours on Fridays from 2pm to 11pm. (QNA)
