“This was a classic scam.” Remember NFTs? Neither do we. People’s Television & Sequence Creative has released the official trailer for Minted, a new documentary film from filmmaker Nicholas Bruckman. This is a comprehensive look at the NFT craze. This is the crazy encounter between the rise and fall of cryptocurrencies and digital art. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and is now available to watch through Independent Lens. It is described as a smart examination of the intersection of art, commerce, and digital ownership through the rise and fall of the NFT market. A renegade group of outsider artists is thrust into the global spotlight by embracing powerful new technology, but they must consider the controversy that will disrupt the wild world of NFTs. Apparently, it doesn’t shy away from criticism of NFTs – completely justified in my opinion, since it’s just a gold rush fad that has already burned out. If you’re interested, it looks like a very attractive document to have a look at anyway.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Nicholas Bruckman’s documentary Mint. You can watch it directly on YouTube.
