De onderzeeër, de ‘Novorossiysk’ was onderweg van de Middellandse Zee naar het noorden en passeerde daarbij dus de Nederlandse exexclusieve economische Zone. Tijdens die pass voegde het korvet ‘Boikiy’ zich bij de onderzeeër.
