Tonight will be mostly clear and cold with the winds dropping. Lows will reach the teens and 20s, and high pressure will strengthen again on Wednesday. Expect highs near 40 degrees and full sunshine. There will also be plenty of sunshine on Thursday, but areas in the south and west will see more clouds in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the mid 40s. Sunshine will mix with clouds Friday and highs will remain in the mid-40s. Spot showers may occur later in the day (especially in the east), but otherwise conditions will remain dry. An area of low pressure will develop off the coast of New England this weekend, with the potential for a ridge of high pressure to develop to the west. Our region appears to be in the middle of the system. That means lots of clouds and a chance of showers. So far, Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered showers. We may see more sunshine on Sunday. High temperatures will be near 50 degrees both days. The chance of showers increases by next Monday, with highs in the low 40s.
