Manchester United fans are calling for Harry Maguire to be renamed club captain after his latest interview revealed a transfer between Ruben Amorim and Erik ten Hag.
The 31-year-old fell out of favor with his former United manager as he struggled to find his place in the team and was eventually stripped of the captaincy.
Bruno Fernandes took his place in that role, which has been the case ever since Amorim took charge of the team.
Maguire told Sky Sports: “He’s really demanding. The problem is the managers and their style is different to when they came in and they have a similar style. What they want. In that sense, it’s not exactly the opposite.” And what they demand.
“I’m sure things will get better and he knows exactly what he needs to do to get this club back.”
Maguire returned to the United squad under manager Amorim and has appeared in every Premier League game he has been eligible for.
