Manchester City drew 1-1 with Everton on Boxing Day.
Bernardo Silva completed a fine move for City, firing past Jordan Pickford to give the hosts the lead in the 14th minute.
But the Toffees hit back just 22 minutes later when Iliman Ndiaye, left alone at the back post, smashed the ball into the roof of the net.
After the break, City had a chance to take the advantage again as they were awarded a penalty for a foul on Sabinho, but Erling Haaland’s shot was saved by Pickford.
Both teams had chances to score a winner in the closing stages, but neither team could win and the points were shared by the Etihad.

Stefan Ortega – 6
Iliman Ndiaye’s equalizing goal was incredible and Ortega was not to blame for anything. At times, he seemed frustrated by the lack of passing lines.
Rico Ruiz – 6.5
He was great before half-time, but then he wasn’t as good, which could be a sign that he’s been playing too much football lately.
Manuel Akanji – 5.5
I never want to see the scene of Iliman Ndiaye swinging his foot on a cross and scoring the equalizer again. He didn’t seem to be himself at all.
Nathan Ake – 6.5
Ake’s return has been strongly desired after lingering injury problems, but he was forced off again in the second half with a hamstring problem. They were playing well.
Josko Gvardiol – 6
Everton’s set-up did not allow Gvardiol to penetrate into the attacking area. Enough treatment of Jack Harrison.
Josko Gvardiol and the Manchester City defenders struggled to penetrate into the attacking area
Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for the home side, and Iliman Ndiaye hit back soon after.
Mateo Kovacic – 6
He doesn’t have a huge cut, but he’s keen to move the ball quickly. The addition of Bernardo Silva has made the defense even more solid.
Bernardo Silva – 6
Jarrad Branthwaite scored the first goal, but missed a golden chance to double their lead.
Savigno – 5
His dangerous positions sometimes made him look threatening, but the Brazilian’s final ball deceived him perfectly.
Phil Foden – 7
They once again showed signs of brightness and created two big chances in the first half. As the games meander, some are still trying to make things happen.
Jeremy Dok – 5.5
Assist in the opening game. Most of the game was spent heading into dead ends and no runs were seen off the ball.
Erling Haaland – 5
An afternoon to forget. His penalty was saved by Jordan Pickford and after some early confusion it never looked like he would score from open play.
Phil Foden (left) once again shined for Man City against the Etihad.
Erling Haaland had an unforgettable afternoon as he saw his spot-kick shot saved by Pickford
