LG is a well-established consumer electronics brand. The company is best known for its bright displays. It was therefore no surprise that they were an exhibitor at the 2024 RSNA conference (RSNA24) in Chicago, IL. What was surprising, was how much effort the company is putting into expanding their product line to cater specifically to the healthcare market and to CIOs across industries.
While at RSNA24 Healthcare IT Today spoke with Jim Salamon, National Sales Leader for LG Medical Displays. We asked him how LG is tailoring its product line to suit the unique needs of healthcare and the approach they are taking to be more relevant to CIOs.
LG recognizes that CIOs are looking to reduce the number of devices and SKUs that are deployed in their organizations. That is why the company is working to ensure its products can satisfy multiple enterprise needs. For example, some of their new displays have high enough resolution for radiologists to use yet are affordable enough for administrative users.
They are also expanding their product set in North America with more advanced imaging solutions which will be first introduced overseas.
