Leeds United have reached their asking price for the 21-year-old defensive midfielder and could move closer to making his first signing of the January transfer window.
Leeds United transfer news
It’s been a quiet transfer window for the Whites so far, but it’s significant given the fact that the Yorkshire outfit sit at the top of the Championship and are one of the most in-form teams in the region. This may not be a surprise. Daniel Farke has made it clear he is not a fan of this transfer window, but that doesn’t mean the club aren’t looking to do some business, and links with new signings continue.

Daniel Farke is in the process of adding to his Leeds United squad.
Earlier this week, reports emerged that Leeds scouts watched Bali Mumba in action during Saturday’s FA Cup match between Plymouth and Brentford. The defender is well known to Falke, having made his Premier League debut for Norwich City a few years ago, and the German may now be keen to reunite with the defender. Striker Patrick Bamford’s future is very much up in the air with Los Blancos this month, with the possibility of him leaving the club.
Blackburn Rovers manager John Eustace has confirmed Bamford is on his list of transfer targets this month. “Patrick is a very good player. I played with him at Derby a long time ago when he was just starting out.
“He’s a consistent performer at this level. He’s playing for a huge club in Leeds. But there’s going to be a lot of names thrown at me and I think they’re good players. I’ll just say, you’ll have to ask the club. He’s on a long list of players we’ve been looking at and we’ll have to take a look.”
Leeds reach £3m asking price for 21-year-old midfielder
According to Portuguese journalist Sebastian Souza Pinto, Leeds have made an offer of €4 million for Je Dávila, which is the amount Leiria wanted for the player, so the Championship side are now making a new offer. We are paying attention to acquiring players.
The 21-year-old Davila, who will be traded as ‘number six’, currently plays for La Liga second division side Leiria, where he has been playing since July 2022. Davila started his career in Ivory Coast before moving to the Saudi Arabian team. Al Hilal United in 2021, one year before moving to Portugal.
The midfielder has only recently joined the Leiria squad following a loan spell with the club, and has done well in over 30 appearances for the club to attract the attention of Leeds. It looks like it is. Souza Pinto reported that Los Blancos’ offer was around £3 million, a price the Portuguese side were happy with.
However, completing the transfer still appears to be quite difficult due to the need to obtain a work permit. Leeds are not the only club interested in signing the young midfielder, with several teams reportedly interested in signing him.
