We still have 67 days to go until the first day of spring (who’s counting, anyway?), but that’s not stopping Katie Holmes from already pulling the pastels out of her closet in the dead of winter.
Stepping out in New York City for a matinee of her Broadway production Our Town on Saturday afternoon, the actress was dressed in her usual cozy outfit formula, but added a colorful twist. Rather than her usual winter neutrals, Holmes wore a minty green sweater with matching denim pants in a slightly lighter shade. The rest of her spring-ready look was quintessentially Katie with her signature accessories—including an Olsen twin-approved charcoal gray beanie, a black wool coat, and oversized sunglasses.
Meanwhile, a pair of crisp white Autry Medalist sneakers and a black leather commuter tote completed her outfit. And in place of the usual two Starbucks cups in her hands, Holmes, instead, juggled multiple bags, looking like your everyday New Yorker. As for glam, she kept it simple with her brunette hair styled in slightly-damp waves and a swipe of nude lip gloss.
Just a day earlier, the Dawson’s Creek alum was spotted sporting her usual moody winter color palette. Rewearing her beloved Penny Lane-inspired black leather and shearling coat with light-wash denim and a gray sweater underneath, Holmes accessorized with the same gray beanie and black tote bag as before and finished off her look with another pair of white sneakers and giant sunglasses.
