Princess Kate has ‘throwing herself’ into looking after Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis despite her cancer diagnosis, a royal expert has said.
Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK! that Kate likely faces the new year with “a good deal” of optimism after a challenging 12 months.
She said: “Now hopefully she can celebrate turning 43 with a good deal of optimism that the worst is behind her.”
It follows the Prince of Wales undergoing planned abdominal surgery at the beginning of 2024.

In March, Catherine revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer, with Kate the announcing she had completed her preventative chemotherapy treatment in September.
The Princess is focusing on supporting Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they return to school after the festive break, according to the royal expert.
Bond added: “Life with three children is never going to be quiet, and I think Catherine will be throwing herself into supporting them as they return to school, and rejoicing that a truly rotten year has now ended.”
The mother of three is known for balancing her royal responsibilities with being a hands-on parent.

Bond believes Kate will continue to manage this delicate balance as she eases back into her full-time royal duties.
The royal expert suggested a positive outlook for the Princess’s continued recovery.
She said: “I’m sure that as each week goes by she will continue to feel stronger.”
The royal commentator anticipates seeing more of Kate at official events in the near future.

With her health improving and family milestones to celebrate, Bond believes Kate can look forward to “plenty to do with her early years projects.”
