Guhle has four goals and 10 assists in 44 games this season. With his status known for the immediate future, the team has recalled Jayden Struble from his conditioning stint in the American Hockey League, and they may need to make another recall so that they have seven available defenders.
The timeline for Guhle’s return is not known, but it can be seen as a positive that he was not immediately ruled out for the remainder of the season, although he can be expected to miss some significant time.
