Julia Fox’s bold new David Bowie-inspired bob lasted about five minutes—because the actress has gone even shorter. After trimming her own hair into a blunt chin length bob in a TikTok video earlier this week, Fox revealed that she has since taken her hair into a shorter pixie cut.
Fox debuted the look at a premiere for her upcoming horror film Presence in New York City. She wore her cropped hair in a jagged side part, swept back behind her ear in a windswept look that instantly recalled 1980s era Bowie.
She complimented her new hair with a funky ’80s menswear-inspired look. She wore a brightly colored floral printed shirt over a white tank top, along with an oversized black blazer and black pants.
Fox’s new look comes after the actress shared a TikTok video in which she chopped her own hair into another Bowie-esque look—a longer silver blunt bob. In the video, she held a pair of scissors while mouthing along to the trending TikTok audio, “Girl, don’t do it. It’s not worth it. I’m not going to do it, girl. I was just thinking about it. I’m not going to do it.” Apparently Fox wasn’t a big fan of her look as she captioned the video “Immediately regretted it.” Perhaps that explains why the blunt bob didn’t last too long before morphing into a pixie.
Fox isn’t the only star to apparently take some hair inspiration from Bowie. In fact, this week, Renée Zellwegger also debuted a Bowie-inspired piecey pixie cut, styled behind her ears just like Fox’s new trim. Could Bowie hair be the trend of winter 2025?
