The Jack Dorsey block has created a unique open source AI agent. This tool called “Code Name Goose” allows users to complete the task using a general large language model.
“Goose is an assistant who is ready to receive your instructions, and you can work for you,” Block explains in a blog post. According to the company, agents can autonomously complete engineering tasks, such as searching for bugs and changing codes.
Users can configure goose to run at the desired LLM. IIT supports human beings, GEMINI, Openai, etc., but the company is “optimal” for Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet and O1 model of OPENAI. It is also compatible with the extension and can be connected to popular developer tools such as GitHub and Google Drive.
The blocks are known for the financial app, square, cash apps, and music streaming services acquired in 2021. These are not immediately associated with AI development, but Block’s founder Jack Dorsey is a long -term supporter of open source software. The company also pointed out that goose could ultimately extend to a “non -engineering usage case.” Block Engineer Brad Axen told ZDNET that the company assumes a “creative” use for goose like music generations.
