I’ve been using Feeder to keep up with the news for a while. I’ve been checking out AllSides for a long time.
But then I found out that NPR in my state supports RSS, my local news organization supports RSS, and even YouTube supports RSS.
One outlet I really like is GovTrack.us, but the site didn’t support RSS. So I emailed them about it and they added support.
The Feeder news website wasn’t working in the Feeder app, so I contacted them via email and it was fixed.
I learned that my state senator’s website supports RSS, but my state’s Republican Party website does not, so I emailed the Republican Party asking for RSS. Let’s take a look.
I emailed Ubisoft/Nadeo to request RSS support on the Trackmania news website. They replied that they would send the proposal to the development team. Let’s take a look.
I spoke at last night’s library board meeting asking for RSS support on the website. It seems that it was well received. Let’s take a look.
Substack supports RSS. Jurist.org supports RSS. Justia’s Supreme Court summaries support RSS (I used to read them, but I don’t read them anymore). Blogger supports RSS.
That’s right – if you’re interested in keeping up to date with your organization, get a feed reader app and subscribe to the feed on the website. If you don’t have a feed, ask us to add one for you.
You’ll be amazed at how great it is to keep things you actually care about, without bloat, without ads, without algorithms, and in a way you have complete control over.
Insist on adding RSS support, especially for organizations that want to stay informed. This includes video game news websites, government agencies, political news websites, entertainment platforms, blogs, and more.
