Israeli media outlets such as The Jerusalem Post estimate there are between 20,000 and 23,000 resistance groups across Gaza, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad resistance groups as well as local fighters.
“Hamas is making a major comeback by mobilizing new forces,” the Post reported.
The newly reported numbers refute Israel’s claims that it is close to complete victory over Hamas.
At the start of the brutal Gaza offensive, the Israeli military vowed to eliminate Hamas and its 25,000 fighters.
Occupation forces recently claimed to have killed between 17,000 and 20,000 Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters during the war in the besieged area.
Comparing Israeli military numbers with regime media numbers shows that Hamas has completely replaced its old forces and adopted almost entirely new ones.
Another idea is that Israel’s preliminary estimates are inaccurate and that Hamas had 30,000 or even as many as 40,000 members before the bloody Israeli invasion began.
Israel launched the Gaza massacre on October 7, 2023, after Hamas carried out a surprise operation against the usurpers in retaliation for the regime’s escalating atrocities against the Palestinian people.
However, nearly 15 months after the offensive began, the Tel Aviv regime has continued to eliminate Hamas, despite killing at least 45,581 Palestinians, including at least women and children, and injuring 108,438 others. The goal of releasing prisoners of war has not been achieved.
