Mohajerani spoke out against the cease-fire agreement to end the war in Gaza.
“15 months of genocide, 15 months of murder of innocent women and children… During this period, many were martyred to prove to the world one story: the Palestinian people. “We are facing a regime that is willing to commit any kind of killing and bloodshed,” Mohajerani wrote in a post on social media platform X.
“Now is the time for the international community to properly play its part in confronting this genocide. Gaza and its people await relief from suffering and the rebuilding of what was lost,” she concluded.
Qatar’s foreign minister formally announced on Wednesday night that a ceasefire agreement had been reached to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
According to Al Jazeera, Qatar’s foreign minister and prime minister said in a press conference that the ceasefire in Gaza will come into effect on Sunday, January 19th.
He added that talks are continuing with Israel and Hamas to implement the agreement.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said that while the Gaza agreement came after extensive diplomatic efforts, the ceasefire was a “start” and that mediators and the international community must now work together to establish a permanent agreement. He said that efforts should be made to realize peace.
