During Saturday’s meeting, Araghchi and Ibrahim Mohamed discussed common interests as well as economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The Sudanese minister is leading an economic delegation to visit Iran.
Earlier, on Wednesday evening, he met with Iran’s Abdulnasser Hemmati.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the re-establishment of political relations between the two countries and hoped that this new phase of relations would lead to the development and prosperity of economic and trade relations.
The Sudanese Minister emphasized the advantages of Sudan, such as the existence of fertile land capable of producing agricultural products such as oilseeds, sesame, groundnuts, and livestock, as well as the abundance of underground resources.
He further announced that the Sudanese government and people are willing to develop economic relations and cooperation with the Islamic Republic.
It is noteworthy that the Republic of Sudan has an area of 1,886,000 square kilometers and a population of 45 million people, over 97% of whom are Muslims.
