Diana Oglesby’s love for NASA began long before she started working there. Oglesby, a native of Decatur, Texas, decided at the age of 8 that NASA would be her future destination. That dream became a reality when Oglesby joined NASA, first as an intern and then as a full-time NASA employee, beginning a career that spanned more than 20 years.
Mr. Oglesby currently serves as Director of Strategic Integration and Management within the NASA Space Operations Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters. The division plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of space operations and provides critical services such as program integration, strategic planning, information technology and cybersecurity leadership, stakeholder outreach, and management services. Prior to his current position, Oglesby led business management for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida. She had a front row seat to history on NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission. This mission was the first commercially built and operated American rocket and spacecraft to successfully launch astronauts to the International Space Station, and was a significant milestone in NASA’s space exploration efforts.

Oglesby is passionate about his work, but at the same time believes in “work-life harmony” rather than work-life balance, by paying attention to the area of life in which he is in the moment. She is always focused on reconciling her NASA mission with her life outside of work, which includes her three children. Oglesby enjoys spending time with her family, baking, crafting, and participating in various activities that support the needs of her local church and community.
Known for his positive energy, passion, and innovation, Oglesby is always looking for ways to improve systems and make a difference, no matter the project he’s working on. Her attention to detail and problem-solving approach make her a valuable leader at NASA.
