In Armenia, Thunberg was welcomed by Oleg Dargaryan, director of the Center for Community Mobilization and Support (CCMS), Armen Press reported.
“It is a great responsibility and pleasure to welcome Greta Thunberg, the Swedish environmental activist, who arrived in Armenia after boycotting COP29 in Baku, together with our colleagues on the Armenia-Georgia border,” said Oleg. Ms. Thunberg attended a rally in Georgia on Monday to protest Azerbaijan’s hosting of the annual United Nations climate change talks.

She accused Azerbaijan of using the summit as an “opportunity to greenwash crimes and human rights violations,” according to the Associated Press.
“In this situation we cannot give them any legitimacy. That is why we stand here and say no to greenwashing and no to the Azerbaijani regime,” she said in Tbilisi on Monday.
