Aaron Phypers is being sued over an allegedly failed treatment administered at his wellness center in Malibu, California.
A lawsuit was filed against the husband of former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards — who revealed this month that her breast implants ruptured while she filmed Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test — on November 13, 2024, according to documents obtained by People.
Phypers, 52, is being sued for fraud by Rupert Perry on behalf of his late wife Elina Katsioula-Beall, who was treated at Phypers’ wellness center in 2023 for cancer.
Perry alleges that Phypers offered to refund half of the money spent on a treatment for his wife’s cancer, but after it apparently failed to improve her condition, Phypers allegedly refused to honor the verbal agreement.
According to the lawsuit, Katsioula-Beall, who was diagnosed with sarcoma in 2019, learned of a ‘stem cell treatment’ that Phypers’ facility conducted on patients that she hoped to try to treat her cancer.
Perry claims that Phyper said the treatment ‘would cure or at least ameliorate Ms. Katsioula-Beall’s condition.’

Rupert Perry is suing Phypers on behalf of his late wife Elina Katsioula-Beall. She was treated for cancer at his wellness center in 2023 with a ‘stem cell treatment’ that Phypers said had a ’98-percent success rate’; seen in August 2024 in LA
Phypers allegedly boasted of a ’98-percent success rate and he was so confident in it’ that he offered to refund half the treatment’s cost if it failed.
Perry says he and his wife shelled out $126,000 for the stem cell treatment sessions from July through September 2023, but Katsioula-Beall got bad news in December of that year when she allegedly was told that her tumors had grown by 25 percent.
Since they felt that the treatment hadn’t lived up to Phypers’ hype, they wrote to him requesting a refund of $63,000.
But the lawsuit alleges that ‘[Phypers] ignored her request and instead proposed that she undergo another round of treatment.’
Perry claims that he and his late wife later requested the $63,000 refund in on February 8, 2024, and again on March 7 and March 29, with Phypers allegedly ignoring the requests each time.
Katsioula-Beall died from her cancer just under two months after the last request, on May 21, 2024.
‘On June 28, 2024, Mr. Perry spoke with [Phypers] by telephone, who acknowledged the debt but proffered a series of excuses for his failure to pay the $63,000,’ the lawsuit alleges.
Since there wasn’t any sign that his wife’s condition had improved after undergoing the stem cell treatment at Phypers’ wellness center, Perry claims he owes that 50 percent refund to her estate.

But after her condition worsened, Perry asked for the refund multiples times, and he claims Phypers repeatedly rebuffed him. Hife died in May of 2024
Perry goes on to accuse Phypers of ‘misconduct,’ which he claims was ‘intentional, willful and done for the purpose of depriving Plaintiff of property and/or legal rights or otherwise causing injury.’
‘This despicable conduct subjected Plaintiff to cruel and unjust hardship in conscious disregard of his rights,’ he added, while requesting that the case be heard before a jury.
So far, Phypers has not commented on the lawsuit, and he has reportedly not yet filed a response to it in court.
It’s also unclear if his wellness center is even still operating, as the location is listed as being ‘permanently closed’ on Google Maps, and Yelp users have also reported that it is no longer operating.
A website for the facility listed on its Instagram page also appears to be down.
Phypers had previously said on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills during his wife Denise Richards’ short stint on the series that the center used allopathic — or alternative — medicine as treatments, though it’s unclear if evidence-based medicine is also a part of patients’ treatments.
Phypers, who had small parts as an actor in the 2010s, met his future wife Denise at his center.
During a 2020 episode of RHOBH, the cast members inquired about his business.
Perry accused Phypers of ‘misconduct’ and wants him to pay the money to his late wife’s estate. It’s unclear if Phypers’ wellness center is still active, as it is listed as closed on online directories; still from RHOBH

‘Everything you’ve been taught about how diseases process and stuff works is not true,’ he began, via People, before Denise urged him to ‘be careful’ about what he might say.
‘Traditional isn’t traditional,’ he he explained. ‘It’s allopathic. And allopathic, it means alternative medicine. Look it up.
‘It’s all a measurement of the electromagnetic spectrum frequency. I break down stuff so you can all heal you —’ he continued, before clarifying that he didn’t ‘heal anybody’ himself, but instead allegedly removed ‘blocks, discord [and] information.’
He made more bizarre claims in the episode while giving his theory of why cancers develop.
‘Do you want to know why cancer comes in? Because it’s protecting you of an infection your immune system did not respond to and you would have died in 12 hours,’ he said. ‘It’s your best friend that protected you from something that’s going to shoot you in the head with a bullet.
That’s what cancer is,’ he said, despite his words being far from accepted definitions of what cancer is — abnormal cell growths that can spread throughout the body, causing harm — he claimed that he could ‘prove it all day long.’
‘We can split an atom with sound, cause a nuclear explosion, kill people. You can’t figure out if it’s cancer?’ Phypers said to Denise’s costars.
He has been married to the actress since 2018.
Richards shares two daughters with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, as well as a third daughter, Eloise, whom she adopted in 2011. Phypers later adopted her as well
The lovebirds are set to return to reality television this year with the E! reality series Denise Richards And The Wild Things, according to Deadline; seen January 3
Phypers previously wed actress Nicolette Sheridan in December 2015, only to separate in June of the following year.
She filed for divorce in July 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, and their divorce was finalized in August 2018.
Phypers and Richards’ relationship began while he was separated but still legally married in December of 2017.
They wed less than a year later on September 8, 2018, which was less than two full days after Phypers had proposed to the former Bond girl.
Richards was previously married to Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares two daughters. She also adopted a third daughter in 2011, whom Phypers adopted after their marriage.
According to Deadline, the couple will be starring on a new reality series titled Denise Richards And The Wild Things for E!, which will debut sometime this year.
