A Fayette County man died Saturday evening in a single-vehicle wreck, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.
According to information provided by ALEA, 34-year-old Jacori L. Whitson was fatally injured in an incident that took place about 7:25 p.m. Saturday in Pickens County. Whitson was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger that left the road and struck a tree. He was not using a seat belt, according to ALEA, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Whitson was from Fayette, according to an ALEA statement. The wreck took place on Ala. 17 near mile marker 217, about seven miles north of Reform.
Troopers are investigating, according to ALEA.
