Everton have a “specific interest” in Bournemouth’s head of recruitment Tiago Pinto, a source has told Football Insider.
The Merseyside giants are planning a complete overhaul of their transfer structure under new ownership.
Sources close to the club say Pinto, who joined Bournemouth last May in a deal first revealed by Football Insider, is Everton’s top target.
Their interest suggests current director of football Kevin Thelwell’s appointment for the second half of the season is in serious doubt.
Pinto, 40, is highly praised by the Friedkin Group, which owns Everton, and his CV includes impressive spells at Roma, Benfica and even favorites Bournemouth.
Dan Friedkin brought the Portuguese transfer guru to Roma in 2020 and described him as a “world-class talent” when his appointment was announced.
