From tonight at 23:00, the traffic ban on Road 100 between the school and the intersection at Road 106 will be lifted. At the same time, a traffic ban will be implemented on Road 300 from the intersection at Road 501 and all the way up to Sverdrupbyen. The evacuation in Nybyen will be maintained until further notice.
The Governor has decided to maintain the evacuation of the buildings in Nybyen and Road 300 no. 1. Based on the weather forecasts for the evening and night, there will be the following changes to the traffic ban on the roads from 23:00 Saturday evening:
- Road 100 will be opened from 23:00 tonight, Saturday. The scooter route that runs along Road 100 up to Nybyen will still be closed to traffic.
- Road 300 will be closed from 23:00 tonight, Saturday, from the intersection at Road 501 up to Sverdrupbyen. The traffic ban also applies to the ski trail route on the upper side of Road 300.
The decision has been made after an assessment of weather conditions and further weather forecast. A new assessment will be made on Sunday.
