“He’s a Manchester United player. He loves this club, but I have to make a choice. That’s the reality.”
A report on Wednesday claimed that Barcelona have given Rashford a “priority” and manager Hansi Flick is expecting a “final answer on the contract” from the club’s senior management.
A permanent departure is unlikely thanks to United’s £50m demands, but Barcelona have a chance to land him on loan, as well as other foreign clubs, and the Daily Star reports that Ratcliffe will be linked to Premier League rivals. He claims that he “blocked” a loan transfer to the club.
The report states:

However, according to TEAMtalk’s Rudy Galetti, Rashford has no intention of leaving United for Dortmund.
The Bundesliga side are looking to replace Donnell Malen, who moved to Aston Villa for €25 million earlier this week.
There have been discussions with Rashford’s officials about a potential move, but a potential deal fell through due to United’s insistence that the loan deal included a buy-out obligation.
The report states:
“As we reported a few days ago, German clubs have shown the strongest interest in Rashford and are one of the clubs that have been collecting information about him recently.
“They include those who have held discussions with his brother Dwayne Maynard, who also acts as Rashford’s agent.Others include Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan.
“However, it appears that Dortmund would prefer a convenient scheme with no obligation to purchase, such as a loan with a portion of United’s wages.
“Their claim that no purchase obligation is included derives from the figures requested by Manchester United.”
“GBP 50 million is the price offered by Man United, and Dortmund believe that figure is too high. Furthermore, Man United are still demanding that the loan deal include at least a buyout obligation. .”
He added that Brentford’s Kevin Schade is also currently among the replacement players Dortmund are considering.
