Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (January 21) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown) has bid farewell to the eponymous village, taking baby son Theo with her as she departed for Dubai to reunite with mum Sharon (Jamelia).
The character made the decision in the wake of fiancé Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) cheating on her yet again with Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith).
Prince initially cheated on Dilly with Zoe, who was engaged to his twin Hunter (Theo Graham) at the time.
Hunter subsequently died, with Zoe discovering that she was pregnant – but with Prince’s baby.
Baby Theo was born and, following the Channel 4 soap’s time-jump, Prince and Zoe were together and engaged.
Prince, however, started to fall for Dilly again, leaving Zoe devastated. Dilly, meanwhile, vanished without a trace last week, prompting Prince to do everything in his power to find her.
Realising that her beau isn’t in love with her, Zoe decided it was time for a fresh start as she prepared to move to Dubai to stay with her mum – for good.
Prince pleaded with her to hang fire, urging her to meet him in the village before she jets off with their baby boy, but he ultimately got distracted when Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) seduced him in order to throw him off the scent regarding missing Dilly.
Zoe, meanwhile, said her goodbyes and got in a taxi with baby Theo, ready for a new life away from the village.
The character made her debut in 2022 as a detective and has been involved in numerous storylines during her three years on the show.
From investigating Maya Harkwell’s disappearance to her relationship with Sam Chen-Williams (Matthew McGivern) to her love triangle with Prince and Dilly.
Her exit comes just one week after that of Dilly, who was unexpectedly killed off by Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) as a new serial killer storyline commences.
JJ Osborne (Ryan Mulvey), meanwhile, made his final appearance last Wednesday when he was found guilty of abusing sister Frankie (Isabelle Smith).
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 7am on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
