The Substance has everything: homages to Lost Highway, commentary about female aging amidst the patriarchy, Margaret Qualley wearing face gems, and Demi Moore giving the performance of her career. Though horror movies are historically overlooked for awards, this year Moore got her flowers (Golden Globe) for her role as Elisabeth Sparkle. She looked absolutely radiant while giving an inspiring acceptance speech.
Her makeup artist Rokael Lizama prepped her for the big night with a slew of Dior beauty products. The one that intrigued me the most, however, is the brand’s new firming and plumping Capture Ox-C Treatment Day Cream.
Dior Ox-C Treatment Day Cream
Moore’s skin is ageless and pristine, and so I will forever have what she’s having. To explain this moisturizer simply, it plumps, firms, and evens out skin tone by restoring oxygen (the amount degrades as we age) to the epidermis. Thus begins a domino effect wherein collagen production is increased, skin cell renewal is quickened (i.e., reduced hyperpigmentation and dull cells), and moisture and its retention are multiplied. The supplementary ingredients—peptides, hyaluronic acid, and lily extract—are an additional boost of the time-defying benefits previously listed.
Since it’s a new product, shoppers haven’t had a chance to give their opinions. That being said, in addition to the aforementioned benefits, clinical studies conducted by the brand found that Capture Ox-C Treatment Day Cream also has filling and contour enhancing effects.
Dior’s Capture Ox-C Treatment Day Cream is good enough for Moore, so it’s damn sure good enough for me. Head to Nordstrom to shop it and check out more of her Golden Globes glam below.
