Powder Alert
British Columbia’s winter is off to a strong start with early ski resort openings province wide. Nowhere is that more true than Northern BC where Last Frontier is currently boasting the largest snowpack in the province and perhaps all of North America.
The latest storm cycle has brought 50 to 80cm [20-31”] of fresh and we now have a snowpack of up to 170cm [67”] at 1,000m [3,300’] in elevation. Stewart has 80cm [31”] at sea level and we have a similar base at Bell 2 Lodge. These levels of snow don’t typically materialize until January, so we are off to a strong start. See photos from this week below and head to our conditions portal for the latest snow updates [here].
