Sitting just three blocks from the Coors headquarters in the beautiful town of Golden, Colorado, a small apparel manufacturer named YoColorado has been making high-quality, small-batch garments and hats since 2013. Growing a brand in the gateway to the Rockies manifested into creating apparel that not only handles the extremely active lifestyle of most residents of Golden, but also possesses an indistinguishable style that embodies what it means to live and thrive in their vibrant community.
In eyesight of Coors Factory nestled underneath a towering orange mesa, sits YoColorado’s beloved flagship retail store in the unassuming town of Golden, just about 20 miles west of Denver. Since 1873, Coors has been manufacturing beer here and distributing it around the world, garnering a cult following for its easy-drinking nature and iconic silver bullet can. Coors quickly grew out of their original Golden brewery, expanding to 22 plants worldwide to produce its elixir. The company now produces 13 different types of beer, one of which has been there since the beginning. Affectionately named Coors Banquet, this beer was beloved by the gold miners of Golden, who traditionally drank this brew during celebrations and banquets, hence the name. Today, the beer features an iconic depiction of the Rockies and a unique stubby bottle and is the only Coors beer that is exclusively produced at the original Golden factory.
Last year marked Coors’ 150th anniversary, and to celebrate, Coors has teamed up with YoColorado to bring the people a limited-edition clothing capsule that features high-quality garments from the local brand and branding from the Golden boy—Coors Banquet.
Be sure to check out the full collection which offers both men’s and women’s apparel as well as a plethora of unisex hats, socks and beer-themed accessories. We don’t want to tell you what to do, but continue on below to check out a few of our favorites—most notably the limited edition ski suit now available for preorder.
Unisex Ski Suit
This ski suit is so stylish you are going to turn heads whether you’re ripping hot laps at the resort or adventuring into the backcountry. The iconic Coors Banquet colors give the suit an undeniably vintage look while the YoColorado X Coors Banquet patches make this piece extra sought after. All this swag is backed up by weather-resistant material providing a 10k/5k breathability rating, fully taped seams and plenty of insulation to keep you warm from head-to-toe.
Corduroy Sherpa Hat
With dual functionality and undeniable swag, this is the perfect hat for bluebird après sessions at the base of the mountain or single-digit touring missions alike. The interior of the hat has a plush sherpa lining to keep your head toasty-warm, while the brim and ear flaps allow you to cool down when the afternoons warm up.
Recycled Beanies
The top left colorway features the iconic Coors Banquet colors with thick bubble embroidery of the Coors logo in their classic styled font on the front. The lower right colorway has an off-white, red and blue styling with “Long Live Local” inscribed around the top of the beanie as a nod to Coors Banquet still being crafted exclusively in Golden.
Beer Accessories
A collab with Coors Banquet would never be complete without some beer-drinking accessories. In this collab, Coors and YoColorado have teamed up to bring the people custom pint glasses and compatible koozie. These timeless designs are the perfect gift for the self-proclaimed beer aficionado in your life.
Brimmed Hats
There are many hats that are part of this collection, but here are two of our favorites. The Fader hat (top left) has a classic silhouette that fades between the iconic red and yellow of Coors Banquet. The Rope hat (lower right) has a nice earthtone colorway and the collab’s custom patch.
The Apparel
To finish the list off, we love the On the Slopes crewneck and t-shirt that offer a retro-inspired graphic depicting a skier ripping turns in the ski suit mentioned above and a cowboy hat. Playing homage to the home state of which where both YoColorado and Coors were born.
