In Scotland, maritime industry has a long history and heritage. However, the demand of sectors and volatility, which have been seen over the past few decades, have eroded a part of the skill -based. Competition over talent with other rapidly growing sector, such as offshore style and infrastructure, has presented further issues to maritime companies on the Cride River in terms of adopting, growth and maintenance of skilled labor. Land Europe has conducted a review of skill availability throughout the Clyde River and has developed a delicate understanding of the gap between the population statistics of labor and emerging skills. Land Europe has identified the options to attract and grow the necessary skilled workers, focusing on the cooperation of the local industry, government, and education stakeholders. This study was conducted between June 2023 and August 2024.
