Chris Wood has signed a new two-year contract with Nottingham Forest.
Wood has scored 14 goals in 22 Premier League games this season, helping Nottingham Forest move into third place.
The New Zealand international’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but he has committed his future to Nottingham Forest, following in the footsteps of centre-back Murillo.
“You can see the dreams and ambitions this club has,” Wood told Sky Sports News.
“We’re halfway through the season and we’ve had a great start. There’s still a lot to achieve and strive for.

“But I think this club, the owners, the staff, the players and the fans, have a lot of things they want to achieve and grow into a great club again.
“I’m full of confidence and there’s a lot of belief instilled in me, from the coach to my teammates.
“For a striker (scoring goals) is the biggest confidence booster. You have to work hard for the team and at the same time make sure your other team-mates are doing well, which is a huge confidence booster.” – Goal Booster when deciding. ”
Nuno delighted with Murillo’s new contract
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s trip to Bournemouth, Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo said he was excited to continue to rely on Murillo after the Brazilian signed a contract until 2029.
“I think he is an immensely talented player,” Nuno said.
“I think he can improve a lot because of his age. He came in last season and I think you can see his development.”
Nottingham Forest are set to break a club record to sign Matheus Cunha, but other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are also keeping an eye on the player.
“As long as he stays healthy and ready to go, I think it’s going to be great.
“That’s good for us. Essentially, it’s good for us that the players here are happy, motivated and committed.
“There’s no doubt about it. There’s not a single player on our team who doesn’t feel like he’s improving. Just focus on competing well, and Murillo is just one of them.”

“He is another person. He is not assigned to anyone. The core of the team is the core of the team and the team has to be happy and play well and compete well.
“This is what we want. Our priority is the players who are here. They have achieved good results and we want to compete as best we can. It’s us.”
