The matchups for the 2025 Challenge Cup Semi-Finals have been confirmed.
As first overall seeds, Belfast Giants had the pick of their opponents – they have chosen to face Nottingham Panthers. Sheffield Steelers will therefore play Cardiff Devils.
The Semi-Finals are two-leg, aggregate scoring series. They’ll be played over the following dates:
Belfast Giants (1) vs. Nottingham Panthers (4)
1st Leg: Wednesday 12 February, 7.00pm – The SSE Arena, Belfast
2nd Leg: Wednesday 26 February, 7.30pm – Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham
Sheffield Steelers (2) vs. Cardiff Devils (3)
1st Leg: Wednesday 5 February, 7.30pm – Utilita Arena, Sheffield
2nd Leg: Wednesday 12 February, 7.30pm – Vindico Arena, Cardiff
The two winning teams will contest the one-off final in March 2025.
The highest seed remaining has the option of hosting the final.
Since returning from the pandemic, all three Challenge Cup Finals have sold out, attracting over 24,000 fans. Belfast hosted the events in 2022 and 2023, while Sheffield was the venue in 2024.
