Beyoncé knew the eyes of the world were on her when she set social media on fire by performing during halftime of the NFL’s Netflix Christmas doubleheader and brandishing a finger gun gesture.
She made a gun gesture with her left index and middle fingers held high on the turf at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston, prompting social media users to ridicule NFL players for doing the same.
“We would like to draw your attention to Beyoncé’s dual-gun gesture and 15-yard penalty, which is prohibited in the NFL,” one NFL source said.
Making any type of gun symbol at an NFL game will result in an automatic 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. Of course, Beyoncé doesn’t deserve to be penalized.
Beyoncé’s halftime show during the Texas vs. Ravens game was canceled by music mogul and disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at the venue, and by her husband Jay-Z. It was also her first performance since she was accused of rape. MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in New York in 2000.
Jay-Z has strongly denied the allegations, and a lawyer for Diddy, who is currently in prison awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and trafficking of prostitutes, also denied the charges.
Netflix has promised a number of special guest appearances, and Beyoncé took to the stage with Shabouzi and Post Malone early in the performance. For the final leg, she was joined by her 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

At the end of Beyoncé’s flashy halftime performance of her homeland hit “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM,” she was hoisted from a makeshift stage high into the air in the middle of the giant stadium, finger-guns in the air.
“I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed.”
“We had all the Texas stereotypes. Why don’t we have guns?”
“Literally, as soon as my husband did that, I said the same thing. Everything was terrible.”
“It’s also worth noting that Beyoncé is appropriating culture that has been banned by the left.”
It’s unclear whether the gesture was part of her performance or some kind of protest as millions of eyes were on her.
This was his first performance since he last took the stage in October 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri to conclude his highly successful Renaissance World Tour.
During the first half of Netflix’s NFL doubleheader, Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy were both penalized 15 yards for a touchdown celebration.

Beyoncé’s Christmas show was her third major halftime show at an NFL game.
She was the solo headliner at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show and appeared as a special guest with Bruno Mars at Coldplay’s Super Bowl show three years later.
Many people online were blown away by her performance, saying that next year’s Super Bowl headliner Kendrick Lamar was doing a good job for him.
The show also marked Beyoncé’s first live performance of songs from her latest album, Cowboy Carter.
Despite her husband’s lawsuit, Beyoncé reportedly plans to pursue her upcoming Stadium World Tour.
On Monday, a source close to the Texas Hold’em singer told The Sun that she plans to announce her next show in the coming weeks, scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in March.
A source said: “It’s been a very difficult few months for Beyoncé, but she is focused on making her upcoming tour a success.”
“The next few weeks are critical as she announces her new album and new tour. The announcement was supposed to happen a few weeks ago but was postponed,” the source continued.
