Brian Cox and Robin Ince head to Bletchley Park with comedian Alan Davies and cyber experts Victoria Baines and Richard Benham to decode cyber warfare and discuss its future.
As computers shrink from the size of a room to the size of a jacket pocket, our cyber detectives investigate the changing nature of cyber attacks and defenses. They decipher the jargon that abounds in cyberland, from Trojan horses to phishing scams, and reveal the magnitude of these attacks against nations, businesses, and the general public. Cyber villains range from digital army battalions to teenage freelance hackers. Our panel will discuss the objectives of these malevolent forces. From extorting money and holding valuable commercial data hostage to influencing people’s electoral intentions.
This panel explores how AI and quantum computing are powering cyber warfare and, the good news, cyber defense as well. Alan Davies shares how easy it is to be fooled online and experts give some tips on how to stay safe online. Finally, Alan comes up with a hacking name for his amazing alter ego.
